Here at Candour, Gemma is responsible for managing the Finance Department. This involves the day to day running of all aspects covered in the department. Cashflow Monitoring, Sales and Purchase Ledger, Monthly Management Accounting, Sales Reporting and Analysis and HMRC Returns just to name a few. 

With over 17 years experience in Finance and Payroll along with studying the AAT Level 4 Professional Diploma, Gemma has gained a vast knowledge and understanding of all the administrative functions and procedures undergone in a busy Finance and Payroll department. Gemma has also gained extensive skills in crisis management and business recovery, having experienced company liquidation and mass redundancies with her past employer and also managing the unavoidable strains that Covid-19 had on the economy. 

Gemma has been told by her work colleagues that her Cher impersonation on the karaoke is spectacular. However, she can't say that she would agree with them.

Gemma likes to keep fit and attend the gym regularly, she likes to go cycling with her son and also takes part in a local dance group. Gemma aims to tackle the Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge at least once a year, which really gives her something to focus on. 

Gemma is already a very highly self-motivated person who is full of enthusiasm, but if there was one thing that Gemma had to say motivates her most in life, it would be her son Rylan. She would like to teach him to be the best he can be in life, to get a good education, find a job that he loves and gives 100% commitment to that job. The self-fulfilment of achieving those goals is priceless.
