Job Title: Despatch Assistant

Location: Bridgend

Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 6am -3pm

Salary: £12- 13 per hour DOE

Candour Talent Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Despatch Assistant to join our well-established client based in the Bridgend area.

This role presents a unique chance to become a part of a dedicated team within a well-established FMCG company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain finished goods stock in the coldstore in a controlled and orderly manner

  • Liaise with company approved transport companies to arrange collection and delivery of customer orders

  • Upload collection details for 3rd party coldstore stock transfers

  • Liaise with transport providers on delivery queries by customers

  • Liaise with stock controller for month end stock takes

  • Comply with the customers standards and policies.

  • Follow all company despatch procedures

  • Liaise with administration staff regarding customer deliveries

  • Prepare pallets for onward delivery in a timely fashion

  • Ensure ALL finished goods despatched from the factory is in an acceptable condition and follow all technical department instructions

  • Maintain the supply of margarine and ingredients for production use on request

  • Liaise with waste collection services and ensure the site waste vessels are maintained and emptied in a timely fashion

Skills:

  • A fork lift licence is preferred

  • A passion for delivering results and the drive to exceed expectations.

  • Strong planning and organisational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail.

  • A passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience.

  • Ability to be flexible to meet business needs

  • A team player.
