Job Title: Multiskilled Engineer
Location: Ebbw Vale
Employment Type: Full time / Ongoing
Working Hours: Monday - Friday (3 Month Contract)
Salary: £50,000 annually
Candour Talent Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Multiskilled Engineer to join our well-established client based in the Ebbw Vale area.
This role presents a unique chance to become a part of a dedicated team within a well-established Manufacturing company.
Job Description:
Reporting to the Plant Manager at our Ebbw Vale site, the job holder is responsible for ensuring that the maintenance of production machinery is completed in an effective and timely way that it ensures that production downtime is minimised.
The Jobholder will be a qualified Electrician and have responsibility for electrical and mechanical maintenance work on our machines and required to liaise with electrical and other facilities suppliers. The Jobholder will also carry out mechanical maintenance tasks and have work allocated from our preventative maintenance plan.
You will also have the opportunity to work on Continuous Improvement Projects with other team members in the group to ensure that we share the load to make sure we are Lean and Operating to best practice at all times.
This position is Monday - Friday - 9am-5pm
Fixed term 3-month contract

Qualifications / Experience
Essential
- At least 3 years' experience in a fast paced, quality focused production environment.
- Essential requirement of (basic) knowledge of control systems, e.g., PLC, drives. - Experience required with 24V DC Control systems
- Good IT skills including use of a Production Management or Maintenance Management system (SAP is preferred), Excel, Word, and Email.
- Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Team player with an open and friendly personality with a can-do attitude.
- Excellent organisational skills
- Working to tight deadlines
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to liaise clearly with other staff members and customers.
Desirable
- Experience in packaging or other light goods production.
- Self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative
- An individual who can contribute to the team and innovation.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
