Project Estimator (Manufacturing)

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum + benefits + discretionary quarterly bonus (4-8% based on profit)
Location: Hybrid (3 days in office) - South Wales

Reporting to the Major Projects Manager, this exciting role involves supporting the technical aspects of metal systems, assisting with pricing, and providing comprehensive project support to both internal and external customers. If you have a background in technical detailing, AutoCAD, and project estimation, this is your opportunity to join a highly agile and innovative team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and CAD support for customer enquiries and assist the sales team with new customers.
• Develop and deliver project-specific solutions, including responses to design questions and queries.
• Conduct thermal analysis for projects and support value engineering initiatives.
• Assist in the preparation of programmes, material delivery schedules, and other support tools.
• Offer product recommendations to meet customer and project requirements.
• Liaise with fabricators and installers regarding product-related matters.
• Interpret performance, product standards, and specifications accurately.
• Compile quotations and presentation packs for customers and the sales/specification team.
• Collaborate on product and project specifications driven by the specification team.
• Ensure awareness of site applications and processes.

General Duties

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience with AutoCAD 2D and strong technical knowledge with excellent detailing ability.
• Knowledge of aluminium façade fabrication and experience in the industry.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with customers.
• High level of IT literacy.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Analytical thinking and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and proactivity.
