Job Title: Chemical Blender

Location: Rassau Industrial Estate - Ebbw Vale

Employment Type: [Full-time/ Temporary

Working Hours: Monday to friday rotation 05:45 -14:00/14:00-22:00

Salary: Salary to be discussed - Additional 15 minutes on Morning shifts will be classed as overtime

Candour Talent Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Chemical Blender to join our well-established client based in the Ebbw Vale area.

This role presents a unique chance to become a part of a dedicated team within a well-established Automotive company.

Job Description:

Working within the technical team managing and processing a range of chemicals to produce a range of fuel additives and apperance products to correct specifications.

Supporting with the set up of the shift and liasing between the production floor and senior management to ensure enough product is available to facilitate the production plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and comply with the process and systems procedures.
  • Understand and work within the parameters of the Energizer quality policy.
  • Receiving of Raw Material in drummed or bulk form and ensuring that bulk material is transported to correct holding tanks.
  • Blending of required raw materials in suitable mixing vessels for the manufacture of Fuel Additives or Appearance Products.
  • Liaising with Q.C. to ensure product blend is within specification.
  • Ensuring Blending area and equipment are maintained to a clean / safe condition and ready for use.
  • Ensuring that all Safety equipment, P.P.E etc used within the Blending process are suitable for use and maintained accordingly.
  • Controlling Chemical Waste.
  • Ensuring that correct product is delivered to appropriate Production Line/s.
  • Working with Plant Engineer to carry out Production Line change-overs. This includes following appropriate cleaning and flushing methods to ensure non cross contamination.
  • Responsible for the blowing back procedure of Oil Treatments from Production Line to Bulk Holding Tanks.
  • Monitor and report stock levels of raw materials and bulk liquids on a weekly basis.
  • Organize the storage of all batch production related raw materials.
  • Continuously assessing the health and safety risks within the department and ensuring all problems identified are addressed.
  • Liaison with other departments to improve efficiency in all aspects of production, including health and safety, engineering, productivity, quality, team building , environmental, staff recruitment, support and development of production techniques and processes.
  • Initiate continuous improvement exercises, focusing on key measurables such as improving productivity, lowering defect and absence levels and optimising delivery performance.

  • Able to work in a team environment and help out wherever needed and willing to get involved at all levels.
  • Flexibility in regard to working shifts/hours.
  • Able to approach problems systematically and analyse as required,
  • Maintain a confident attitude towards dealing with team members.
  • Willingness to undertake further training, as required.
  • Able to establish good working relationships at all levels within the company
