Candour Talent is excited to be recruiting for an End of Line Maintenance Operative / Technician on behalf of a well-established manufacturing client in Bridgend.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic night-shift team, ensuring smooth operation of end-of-line equipment, including saws and automated systems. While the primary focus will be on end-of-line operations, you'll also carry out occasional basic maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting as needed to keep production running efficiently.

If you thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment and have a proactive approach to keeping machines running smoothly, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate end-of-line machinery, including saws, ensuring smooth and efficient production
  • Monitor equipment for signs of wear or malfunction and carry out minor adjustments or repairs as required
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams for larger repairs or technical issues
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area in line with health and safety standards
  • Follow production schedules and meet output targets with minimal downtime
  • Conduct routine checks to ensure product quality and machine performance
  • Record basic maintenance activities and report recurring issues or risks to supervisors

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Familiarity with operating and maintaining end-of-line equipment (saws, packaging machines, etc.)
  • Basic mechanical understanding to perform small repairs and adjustments
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently on night shifts
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards
  • Ideally, previous experience working in an extrusion environment (desirable)

What's On Offer

  • Competitive salary (£40,000-£50,000 DOE)
  • Permanent full-time night-shift role (Mon-Wed, 12-hour shifts)
  • Supportive team environment and opportunities for growth
  • A chance to join a stable and respected manufacturing business
