Candour Talent Recruitment are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers to join our client based in the Caerphilly area.
This role presents a unique chance to become a part of a dedicated team within a well-established company.
Job Description:
Delivery and collection of sealed containers in a trailer with taillift. This role will involve unloading and reloading but generally to a single destination daily. Drivers must understand that they are responsible for the load security.
Follow all health and safety as required inclusive of paperwork and in line with ADR package 7 requirements (Radioactive)
Most days of the week will be straight up and backs but there will be 1-2 nights away a week and a long distance on rota with the other 2 staff members which will be explained.
Your hours can vary by week, could be as low as 20 (still paid the same) to max 60 hours in a week where your long haul will be included) Friday tends to be a pretty short day as well.
You will be allocated a 73 plate vehicle with this role which is of a very high spec which isn't shared.
Key Responsibilities:
To carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
Ensure good driver compliance and use of tacho
Requirements:
Class 1 licence
Full CPC
Digi Tachograph
Min 2 years experience HGV Driving preferred
ADR including Class 7 on radioactive preferred but ADR training will be paid for by the company for the right person
