Candour Talent Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Lab Technician to join our well-established client based in the Newport area.

This role presents a unique chance to become a part of a dedicated team within a well-established Manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities:

• QC function of works batches of pigment dispersions
• Carrying out established test procedures for quality control of products to a high degree of accuracy and repeatability
• Compiling reports of test results and updating records on system ( SAP )
• Participating in development of new test procedures to provide 'added value' to current range of products
• Thoroughly cleaning down equipment and work area after testing and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition
• Receive and acquire samples from production in a timely manner
• Carry out processes for QC approval, creation of COAs, concessions (block/unblock stock) and shelf life extensions.
• Perform calibration on equipment, such as scales and spectrophotometer, according to the relevant procedure and at required frequencies
• Maintaining laboratory supply of consumable items and re-stocking as needed
• Liaising with other departments as and when necessary
• Creation and updating of TDS, PDS & MSDS
• Must be able to work with high level of safety standards and keep work area tidy and safe
• Risk assessment of equipment, raw materials and reagents in line with Health & Safety requirements.
• Team working with internal departments in day to day tasks.
• Assisting in the preparation of customer samples
• Assisting in complaint / non conformance resolution
• Stock control and assisting of purchasing function of raw materials
