Project Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Gwent, South Wales

Candour Talent is proud to be representing an innovative and growing engineering company in their search for a Project Engineer to join their site in Gwent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage New Product Introductions (NPIs), ensuring smooth transition from development to production
  • Act as the key technical point of contact for customers, ensuring all technical requirements and expectations are met
  • Manage engineering change processes, collaborating across departments to deliver projects on time and to specification
  • Support bids and quotations, identifying risks and capturing accurate costs
  • Drive quality, process improvements, and cross-functional teamwork to enhance project outcomes
  • Verify product designs and specifications before production, ensuring they meet internal and customer standards
  • Lead PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) activities and support validation efforts
  • Mentor junior engineers, offering guidance and technical support to elevate team performance

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a project engineering or similar role, ideally within manufacturing or product development
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate confidently across teams and with customers
  • Proactive, highly organised, and hands-on approach to managing projects and solving challenges
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and project management tools
  • Understanding of PFMEA processes and commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification (preferred)
