Commercial Accountant

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to step into a commercially focused role that blends financial insight with operational performance.

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience from a manufacturing environment and will play a vital role in analysing financial data, supporting key business decisions, and partnering with commercial and operational teams to drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a key financial business partner to commercial and operational teams

• Analyse and interpret performance data including margins, product profitability, and sales performance

• Provide commercial insights and recommendations to support decision-making

• Deliver accurate and timely budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Prepare monthly commercial reports and support finance in the production of management accounts

• Track and report promotional spend, rebates, pricing models, and customer profitability

• Manage cost analysis and support product costing initiatives

• Assist in the development and implementation of KPIs across departments

• Support the bid and tender process with robust financial modelling

• Contribute to strategic and operational improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Proven commercial finance experience within a manufacturing environment (essential)

• Fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or part-qualified with strong relevant experience

• Strong financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP or similar preferred)

• Comfortable challenging and supporting stakeholders at all levels

• A collaborative and proactive approach to driving business performance

• High attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture

• Confident communicator with strong commercial acumen
