Operations Manager

Location:
South Wales
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (additional hours may be required)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Candour Talent is proud to be representing a successful manufacturer and trade supplier of kitchens and bedroom solutions. As they continue to grow, we are supporting them in the search for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and drive excellence across their manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics functions.

This is a hands-on, multi-departmental leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing people, processes, and performance to a high standard.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations across the factory, warehouse, and logistics departments.

  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer deadlines and specifications.

  • Oversee quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.

  • Monitor inventory and coordinate material procurement with supply chain teams.

  • Implement and maintain efficient production workflows and continuous improvement strategies.

  • Coordinate warehouse functions including receiving, storing, picking/packing, and dispatching goods.

  • Manage logistics and transport operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

  • Train, mentor, and supervise teams across departments to maintain a high-performance culture.

  • Track KPIs related to stock levels, delivery efficiency, and transport costs.

  • Ensure company policies and health & safety regulations are fully adhered to.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and support HR-related processes for team members.

  • Organise equipment repair and routine maintenance schedules.


What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a production, warehouse, or logistics management role.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent knowledge of stock control and inventory systems.

  • Proficiency in manufacturing and quality assurance practices.

  • Forklift operation experience is essential.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems and implement practical solutions under pressure.

  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.

  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and operational compliance.

  • Organised and data-driven, with good analytical and reporting abilities.

  • Experience with HR processes and team development is desirable.
