Job Summary
The Paint Sprayer is responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to aerospace components, such as aircraft structures, engine parts, and other metal or composite surfaces. This role involves preparing surfaces, mixing and applying paint according to technical specifications, and ensuring compliance with aerospace quality and safety standards.

Duties

  • Figures mix ratios in order to mix sealants, filler materials, and paint.

  • Applies primer, top coat paint, and sprayed applied coatings to aircraft parts to assure compliance.

  • Performs straight masking operations.

  • Performs minor filling operations related to the cosmetic appearance of the part being worked.

  • Ability to rub down and prepare surfaces prior to application of paint

  • Must be a team player.

  • To support and drive projects and drive Continuous Improvement activities

  • Flexible to business needs and a requirement to work various shift patterns as required

  • Must be able to learn proper scope of work documentation procedures and working knowledge of parts worked within evaluation period.

  • Responsible for the accomplishment and quality of their own work.

Skills

  • Previous paint experience in an aircraft manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Must have excellent communication skills verbal and written, to read manufacturer's specifications, overhaul manuals, and part specific planning.

  • Must have the ability to document in writing, the work performed on the order.

  • Arithmetic and English (reading, writing) skills and able to follow written instructions with precision and have a high attention to detail

  • Must possess computer skills to access repair documents on the websites, use in house applications for production
