Candour Talent are currently recruiting for a Plant Fitter / Plant Mechanic to join our client based in Ebbw Vale.

Location: Ebbw Vale

Employment Type: Permanent/Full Time

Working Hours: Monday to Friday

Salary: £37-45k per annum + OT

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will have experience maintaining and repairing plant machinery, forklift trucks, and, ideally, HGVs.

This is a newly created role in a growing business with the potential for long-term growth opportunities for the right candidate.

The role is generally workshop-based, but occasionally onsite support will be required.

The Role:

Complete routine service, maintenance, and repairs on a range of plant machinery, FLTs, and, ideally, HGVs.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults, and carry out efficient and effective repairs.
Conduct annual inspections and ensure machinery is working at peak performance.
Provide on-site breakdown support, as required (but role is generally workshop-based)
Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, adhering to company policy and health and safety guidelines and within agreed timeframes.

The Ideal Candidate:

NVQ in relevant discipline, or equivalent demonstrable experience as Plant Fitter or Plant Mechanic or similar.
Excellent working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work unsupervised.
