Job Title: Production Assistant/Supervisor

Location: Bridgend

Employment Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 40hrs per week

Salary: £29,000

Candour Talent Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production Assistant/Supervisor to join our well-established client based in the Bridgend area.

This role presents a unique chance to become a part of a dedicated team within a well-established Aerospace company.

Job Description:

To assist the production manager in day-to-day task and record and collect data (QD's NCR Shortages), assist in ensuring performance of production is upheld. In occasions of Production managers absence to take a leadership role in ensuring there is no loss in production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achievement of the Production Plan.

  • Assisting in getting each Product Design Pack, plan the manufacturing route through Fitting & Painting.

  • Give technical advice for the build sequence & Fitting Instructions with the Team Leaders prior to assembly run starting.

  • Assist with Training the Team Leaders to quality check the first off product before sending for commissioning.

  • Assist product/model changeovers.

  • Ensure the effective supply of component kits & materials to each process using the Team Leaders.

  • Assist Team Leaders to achieve production targets including H&S, quality, and schedule achievement.

  • Assist with operator training.

  • Ensure the health and safety of staff, contractors, and visitors to the area, by ensuring adherence to safe systems of work & the 26 site rules, PPE is always in use, equipment is fault free, working at height and crane use rules are maintained and the workplace is well organized with housekeeping to a high standard.

  • Ensure the required quality standards are achieved by adherence to clearly defined operating procedures, specifications, and standards.

  • Assist with autonomous and planned maintenance of all equipment.

  • Ensure that all staff respect waste management procedures.

  • Facilitate continuous improvement.

  • Assist production manager in collecting relevant QD's.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a production/manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in leading a small team.

  • Strong and effective communication skills.

  • Proactively driven to take and lead task completion.

  • Competent user of IT and systems (In-house training will be provided).

  • Excellent eye for detail.

  • Ability to follow and give instructions.
