Candour Talent are currently recruiting for Quality Assurance to join our client's team in Blackwood.
Location: Blackwood
Employment Type: Permanent/Full Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (2 shift rota - Days/Afternoons)
Salary: £29,680k
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance to join our client's growing food production department. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role ensuring that processes are being followed and final products meet the highest quality standards.
You will be responsible for implementing and auditing internal quality assurance processes, reporting and escalating any issues, and identifying areas for improvement.
The Role:
Complete and maintain QA paperwork.
Complete QA inspections of products, reporting back any issues to the relevant department, collating information, and escalating where needed.
Ensure that food safety, GMP and QA checks are being carried out as specified within work instructions, HACCP and process control documents.
Carry out hourly checks on the production line.
Carry out monthly materials audits.
Carry out daily calibration of equipment.
Provide technical support to the production team as needed.
Operate within Health, Safety, and Environment guidelines at all times.
Support the business with continuous improvement initiatives.
Ad-hoc and day-to-day quality duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role within food production environment.
Understanding of internal audit and non-conformance procedures.
Basic Allergen awareness and legal labelling practice knowledge.
HACCP Level 2
Food Safety Level 2 in Manufacturing
Allergen Awareness Level 2, an advantage
Knowledge of BRC, an advantage.
Fully proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Able to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks at once.
