Candour Talent are recruiting for a Senior Scheduler on behalf of their growing manufacturing client based in Chepstow.
Employment Type: Permanent/Full Time.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday.
Salary: £45,000 - £48,000.
We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Professional with excellent working knowledge of SAP to take a pivotal role in our client's Supply Chain department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery and planning of a range of materials in line with client demands and production requirements. The position will also include inventory control to maximise profitability and placing purchase orders based on supplier lead times and forecasts.
You will also be a point of escalation and leadership to the team.
Experience with SAP is essential for this vacancy.
The Role:
Ensure accuracy of all works & purchase orders
Oversee the MRP process for the procurement of components and stock items.
Regularly reviewing and ensuring forecasts are set to optimum levels, against all product categories, according to both historical data and any forecast information
Co-ordinate the creation of production plans for each workstation
Set the overall capacity in line with company forecasts and production/warehouse capacities
Training and coaching material schedulers
Work with the new product development team to ensure products are integrated into the organisation, focusing on rules for ordering and their stock levels
Monitor, measure and implement agreed KPI’s to improve business performance
Ensure collaboration with production, and effective communication lines with customer service to ensure our customers receive the highest levels of service
Lead OTIF and planning meeting with operations, ensuring all functions are aligned
Assist the head of supply chain with any other duties that may be required.
Ensure that the health & safety requirements are met at all times.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience in a Planner / Material Scheduler role, or similar
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience leading a team and/or mentoring junior colleagues
Excellent IT Skills across all of Microsoft Office and SAP
Able to interpret and analyse data to assist with making business decisions
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organisational and communication skills
Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
Self-motivated with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
