Job description

​We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a Welding Fabricator. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various welding techniques, particularly TIG welding. This role involves working with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication processes to create high-quality metal components.

Duties

  • Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques to fabricate metal parts and assemblies.

  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.

  • Conduct fabrication of sheet metal components according to specifications and drawings.

  • Assemble components accurately while ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality control measures.

  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.

  • Apply basic mathematical skills to measure and calculate dimensions for accurate fabrication.

  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.

Experience

  • Proven experience in welding, particularly with TIG welding techniques.

  • Familiarity with welding processes specific to the <LOCATION> area is advantageous.

  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Basic math skills are essential for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.

  • Previous experience in assembly work is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Aluminium welding experience would be preferred but not needed.

Hours

Monday-Thursday = 7am-4pm Friday = 7am-11am @ £15.63

if you get taken on after 2-3 months)

Days:6am-2pm = £15.63

Nights:10pm-6am = £18.74

Afternoons:2pm-10pm = £18.11

Shift Allowance

1 shift (0%) = £15.63

2 shift (16%) = £18.11

3 shift ( 20%) = £18.74
