Job Title: Hot Foil Machine Operator

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

Candour Talent Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Hot Foil Machine Operator to join our well-established client based in the Swansea area.

This role presents a unique chance to become a part of a dedicated team within a well-established Manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Setup & Operation: Prepare and configure the hot foil stamping machine according to job specifications, including foil type, die, pressure, and temperature settings.
• Quality Control: Inspect products during and after stamping to ensure adherence to design and quality standards, making adjustments as necessary.
• Material Handling: Manage materials including foils, dies, and substrates; ensure correct foil color and material are used for each job.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machine malfunctions or quality issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal production efficiency.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machinery, such as cleaning dies, replacing foil rolls, and conducting minor repairs to prevent operational disruptions.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of production runs, maintenance activities, and machine settings for reference and quality assurance.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace, adhering to company and industry health and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience operating hot foil stamping machines or similar printing/embossing equipment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, with a keen eye for quality and precision.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, job specifications, and setup instructions.
• Basic troubleshooting and mechanical skills to adjust settings and resolve minor equipment issues.
• Physical stamina to stand, lift, and operate machinery for extended periods.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with various foils, substrates, and finishing processes.
• Knowledge of quality control standards in print production.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills.
