Job Title: Machine Tool Setter

Location: Tredegar

Pay Rate: 13.59 an hour

Shifts:

Days Monday - Thursday - 7:00 - 16:45

Nights Monday - Thursday - 21:15 - 07:00

Twilight Monday - Thursday - 16:45 - 02:30

Weekends - Friday - Sunday - 07:00 - 19:00

Due to the demanding needs of the buisness, this will require a flexible approach to working hours, overtime will be paid over and above the contracted working hours.

Candour Talent Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Plastic Injection Machine Tool Setter to join our well-established client based in the Tredegar area.

This role presents a unique chance to become a part of a dedicated team within a well-established Manufacturing company.

Key responsibilities :

• Set up and change moulds according to production requirements

• Adjust machine settings to optimize production cycles and improve part quality

• Conduct tool changes, machine start-ups, and shut-downs safely and efficiently

• Perform first-off inspections and ensure products meet quality standards

• Troubleshoot process or machine issues to minimize downtime

• Maintain accurate production records and complete shift handovers

• Work closely with the quality team to ensure compliance with specifications

• Follow health & safety regulations and promote a safe working environment

• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs as required

• Support continuous improvement initiatives in the production area

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Injection Moulding Setter

• Strong understanding of injection moulding processes and materials

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions

• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to work shifts or weekends as required

• Knowledge of health & safety standards in a manufacturing environment
