Job description
Employment Type: Permanent/Full Time.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery and planning of a range of materials in line with client demands and production requirements. The role will also include inventory control to maximise profitability and placing purchase orders based on supplier lead times and forecasts.
The Role:
· Ensure accuracy of all works & purchase orders
· Oversee the MRP process for the procurement of components and stock items.
· Regularly reviewing and ensuring forecasts are set to optimum levels, against all product categories, according to both historical data and any forecast information
· Co-ordinate the creation of production plans for each workstation
· Set the overall capacity in line with company forecasts and production/warehouse capacities
· Training and coaching material schedulers
· Work with the new product development team to ensure products are integrated into the organisation, focusing on rules for ordering and their stock levels
· Monitor, measure and implement agreed KPI’s to improve business performance
· Ensure collaboration with production, and effective communication lines with customer service to ensure our customers receive the highest levels of service
· Lead OTIF and planning meeting with operations, ensuring all functions are aligned
· Assist the head of supply chain with any other duties that may be required.
· Ensure that the health & safety requirements are met at all times.
The Ideal Candidate:
· Experience in a Material Scheduler role, or similar
· Experience in a manufacturing environment
· Experience leading a team and/or mentoring junior colleagues
· Excellent IT Skills across all of Microsoft Office, with SAP knowledge, preferred
· Able to interpret and analyse data to assist with making business decisions
· Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organisational and communication skills
· Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
· Self-motivated with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
