Working Hours: Part Time / Full Time

Salary: £12.21 per hour

This is a hands-on, administration-focused role requiring excellent attention to detail, strong systems knowledge, and the ability to drive tasks through to completion. Working closely with our Payroll Manager, this role plays a vital part in maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance, and providing key reports that enable effective decision-making. The ideal candidate will be confident managing systems, coordinating with external providers, and ensuring the tools we have in place are being used to their full potential.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Accurately prepare, process, and administer payroll in a timely manner, ensuring all internal and external deadlines are met
  • Submitting accurate weekly submission to HMRC and pension regulators
  • Checking inputs to ensure accuracy and using software to create reporting
  • Maintaining Candidate and Client records on CRM and software packages
  • Payroll processing including all elements of payroll, such as court orders, student loans, pensions deductions and answering queries from clients
  • Ensuring data accuracy and quality of output is of the very highest standard
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related queries from employees and line managers, delivering prompt and accurate support
  • Assisting with distribution of relevant HMRC forms such as P45's & P60's
  • Identifying and resolving discrepancies on time sheets, payroll records and invoicing
  • Other ad-hoc duties as and when required

Essential Skills & Attributes :

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task
  • IT literate with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel
  • Good time management
  • Willingness to learn and adapt as the company grows
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Flexibility and willingness to work collaboratively
  • Committed to professionalism and continuous improvement
  • Previous experience working within a similar role is desirable but not essential
